We don’t have that many Korean restaurants in the city that you can always go to multiple of times. Well for me, It’s either too expensive or too traditional where you would have to know the language to get your order right. At 707, I’ve been to many times with my family and friends. It’s also great because the restaurant is right around my neighborhood and a couple blocks from downtown over by nob hill area. The atmosphere had young and fashionable individuals with very friendly waiters&waitresses. They also had kpop music videos as entertainment over on the projector screen. I love going to hip and trendy restaurants that are very causal where you can enjoy your food and have a party with your friends too.
Now let’s talk about food. We ordered, bi bim naeng myun, kimchi tofu soup, and spicy chicken wings. If you love spicy, then here’s where you need to GO! Bi bum naeng myun is a cold korean spicy noodle dish with spicy sauce. I love this added with vinegar.. TO DIE. My first time trying that and I wanted more! The great thing about what we ordered was everything and their portions were perfect for 2 people. It was cold, chewy and yummy. Kinda like soba, kinda.. Kimchi tofu soup everyone loves. With their hot clay pot, I just had to take a photo with the steam evaporating. Everything we ordered had a different spice but their own flavoring. And lastly, when I first took a bite out of their chicken wings…that’s all you need to know. Game changer! I made a joke saying how the wings were so big, it looked like dinosaur meat. LOL I watched Jurassic World a couple days ago and it just reminded me of that. Anywho.. back to their wings, sweet, spicy, saucy, and savory all in one bite.
