Last month I went on a mini getaway trip with VisittheOC tourism to Orange County with my friend Kelly. I’ve never been to Orange County before, so it was my first time checking out the beach side of Socal. We did everything, from eating at a bunch of hot food spots, checking out the beaches, taking lots of photos, and the weather was perfect!
Check out what we did and where we went (All photos by me)

Our first stop right off the plane was LSXO. It was pretty much like a speak easy inside a restaurant inside a restaurant. LITERALLY! When you walk inside, there was 90’s Hip Hop and R&B music playing. You can tell this was a dope hot spot to grab lunch/dinner. I’ve been to Vietnam a couple years ago so the vibe reminded me of that. Loved the food, especially the Ban Xeo. We grabbed drinks afterwards at Treehouse Lounge and got dessert at Moo Gelato. We ended the night having dinner at Taco Maria. I’ve heard really great things about this place and was very excited to have dinner there! The whole experience and food was amazing.

Day 2: Newport Beach (Gypsy Den, Lab Anti-Mall, Newport Harbor, Anqi)
Starting the day, we grabbed a quick breakfast at Gypsy Den in the Lab Anti-Mall. This was not your average mall. There were eclectic art installations that had a twist with a boho chic touch to it. The CD kaleidoscope like hallway was sick! Then we went to Newport Harbor on a Duffy Electric boat tour around the Balboa Island, grabbed an Acai bowl snack along the way and had dinner at Anqi. The Garlic noodles there.. BOMB AF! I even got both plates to go and ate them in my room when we got back. They were that GOOD!
Day 3: Laguna Beach (Ellie’s Table, Mission San Juan Capistrano, Ritz-Carlton, Pirate Tower, Ocean at Main)
On Day 3, We drove to Laguna Beach for breakfast at Ellie’s Table. It was super cute, and had the California vibe. After our quick photoshoot we had a tour of the Mission San Juan Capistrano. It was a beautiful historical landmark to walk through and learn so much about the history. We then had lunch at the Ritz-Carlton by the ocean side, and checked out the pirate tower before the sunset. There were so many people taking photos there. Even people were taking engagement photos. It was a photo opportunity we had to take. After our photoshoot we had dinner at Ocean at Main. The Panna Cotta was the the one of the highlights of this trip. Def recommend going there if you’re ever in Laguna Beach.

Day 4: Anaheim (Noguchi Gardens, Porto’s Bakery, Disneyland)
Lastly to end our trip, we went to go see the Noguchi Gardens before anyone showed up. I went to go see the Noguchi museum in Brooklyn and this was another amazing installation that I would recommend checking out. It’s free, so I would say to go there early. We grabbed a quick bite at Portos and ordered a box to go home haha of course. Our last stop from our trip was Disneyland! I was so excited to go there because it just makes you feel like a kid again. We didn’t have much time before our flight back home, but luckily we were able to go on some rides and have some Disneyland snacks! This was the perfect way to end the trip.
